Innovación y Competitividad en Áreas Turísticas (ICAT2014) 

El Instituto Universitario de Investigaciones Turísticas (IUIT) de la Universidad de Alicante, organiza el Seminario Internacional “Innovación y Competitividad en Áreas Turísticas (ICAT2014)”, que se celebrará en el campus de la Universidad de Alicante los días 5, 6 y 7 de noviembre de 2014.

Este seminario se enmarca en el proyecto “Metodología, criterios y aplicaciones para la configuración de distritos o clusters en áreas turísticas consolidadas: innovación, complementariedad y competitividad territorial”, del Plan Nacional de I+D+i del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.

 #ICAT2014 abordará los procesos de innovación desarrollados en áreas y destinos turísticos consolidados, así como las principales líneas de investigación vinculadas a esta temática. De esta forma, el seminario se organiza en torno a tres bloques temáticos que, a su vez, se componen de una ponencia principal y un panel de expertos. A continuación, se detalla la estructura del seminario con los participantes que han confirmado a fecha actual.

Innovation and Competitiveness in Tourist Areas (ICAT2014)

The Instituto Universitario de Investigaciones Turísticas (University Institute of Tourism Research, IUIT) of the University of Alicante is the organiser of the International Seminar “Innovation and Competitiveness in Tourist Areas (ICAT2014)”, which will be held on the campus of the University of Alicante on 5, 6 and 7 November 2014.

This seminar is organised within the framework of the project “Methodology, criteria and applications for the configuration of districts or clusters in consolidated tourist areas: innovation, complementarity and regional competitiveness”, part of the National R&D&i Plan of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

#ICAT2014 will cover the innovation processes developed in consolidated tourist areas and destinations, as well as the main lines of research linked to this topic. Thus, the seminar is organised around three thematic blocks which, in turn, comprise a main presentation and a panel of experts. The structure of the seminar is detailed below, with the participants who have confirmed their attendance to date.

Si desea participar en ICAT2014, debe enviar un resumen extendido de un máximo de 1.500 palabras. Para ello, debe cumplimentar el formulario de participación disponible aquí y en el apartado formularios. Los resúmenes se enviarán en castellano y para el caso de aportaciones internacionales, se podrán presentar en inglés y/o portugués.

El resumen debe contener aspectos clave como el interés de la temática, el objetivo de la comunicación, metodología y principales resultados respecto a otros trabajos previos en la misma línea. Además, en el mismo documento debe figurar el título, autor/es, bloque temático al que se presenta la comunicación y los datos de contacto

Se presentarán siguiendo las siguientes normas generales:

•  Tipo de documento: Microsoft Word
• Tipo de letra: Times New Roman (12)
• Diseño de página: márgenes derecho, superior e inferior a 2,5 cm y el izquierdo a 3 cm; interlineado 1,15 líneas

DEADLINE: 30 MAY 2014

Should you wish to participate, please send an extended summary with a maximum of 1,500 words. To this end, please complete the participation form available HERE. Summaries should be sent in Spanish and, in the case of international contributions, they may be presented in English and/or Portuguese.

The summary should contain key aspects such as the interest of the subject, the objective of the paper, the methodology and main results with regard to other previous studies along the same lines. In addition, the document must include the title, author(s), the thematic block for which the paper is presented and the contact details.

The summaries must be presented in accordance with the following general rules:

• Page design: right, top and bottom margins 2.5 cm and left margin 3 cm; line spacing 1.15 lines
