Inicialmente concebido como almac\u00e9n cereales, aunque tubo tambi\u00e9n una funci\u00f3n para la docencia hasta pasar al museo de la Asegurada y concluir con el rejuvenecido Museo de arte contempor\u00e1neo Alicantino (MACA) .
