El PSOE fue fundado en 1879 por Pablo Iglesias que se defini\u00f3 como un partido de clase social marxista aunque actualmente su ideolog\u00eda es\u00a0\u00a0socialdem\u00f3crata\u00a0que en el espectro pol\u00edtico\u00a0se sit\u00faa en el centroizquierda. La UGT\u00a0es una organizaci\u00f3n sindical obrera espa\u00f1ola. Fundada en 1888, comparte origen hist\u00f3rico con el Partido Socialista Obrero Espa\u00f1ol (PSOE)\u00a0evolucionando desde el cl\u00e1sico marxismo\u00a0hacia una orientaci\u00f3n socialdem\u00f3crata. En las elecciones sindicales\u00a0de 2011 se confirm\u00f3 como el segundo sindicato m\u00e1s representativo de Espa\u00f1a por detr\u00e1s de CCOO.\u00a0es la organizaci\u00f3n juvenil de ideolog\u00eda de izquierda, socialista democr\u00e1tica, progresista, republicana\u00a0y laica\u00a0af\u00edn al Partido Socialista Obrero Espa\u00f1ol.\u00a0Tiene independencia\u00a0org\u00e1nica y pol\u00edtica respecto al PSOE.
