Authors present that the students acquire important transferable skills that will help them in the future to carry out their jobs competently and professionally. Results show percentage values close to 80% of students stating that the modules have made it possible for them to improve their analytical, independent learning and decision-making skills, as well as their active participation in the classroom. However, there is not supporting evidence that the development of such skills is dependent on the sex of the student. With respect to the number of hours of independent learning per week, most female students spend over 3 hours on learning for the module (62.8%), compared with the male minority (41.8%).
