El a\u00f1o pasado premi\u00f3 a los <a href=\"http:\/\/nobelprize.org\/nobel_prizes\/medicine\/laureates\/2006\/\">descubridores<\/a> del ARN de inteferencia. Esta vez ha premiado con el Nobel de Fisiolog\u00eda o Medicina a <a href=\"http:\/\/nobelprize.org\/nobel_prizes\/medicine\/laureates\/2007\/\">tres investigadores pioneros<\/a> en la gen\u00e9tica inversa en ratones:<a href=\"http:\/\/nobelprize.org\/nobel_prizes\/medicine\/laureates\/2007\/index.html\"> Mario R. Capecchi <\/a>(al que conozco personalmente),<a href=\"http:\/\/nobelprize.org\/nobel_prizes\/medicine\/laureates\/2007\/index.html\"> Sir Martin J. Evans<\/a> y <a href=\"http:\/\/nobelprize.org\/nobel_prizes\/medicine\/laureates\/2007\/index.html\">Oliver Smithies.<\/a> Precisamente, en la introducci\u00f3n de mutaciones dirigidas en c\u00e9lulas madre del rat\u00f3n, y la generaci\u00f3n con ellas de ratones adultos mutantes: los ratones <em>knock-out.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Son t\u00e9cnicas que han revolucionado la gen\u00e9tica de mam\u00edferos y que han permitido producir miles de ratones mutantes en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os.
