La desalaci\u00f3n es un proceso en el que el consumo energ\u00e9tico es muy elevado. Esta energ\u00eda que se emplea lleva coaligado un impacto medioambiental, que podr\u00eda evitarse de m\u00faltiples modos. Sin embargo, el ego\u00edsmo intertemporal de los agentes dificulta mucho la toma de soluciones en problemas cuyos efectos negativos se experimentan a largo plazo. De este modo resulta muy dif\u00edcil que las empresas, la poblaci\u00f3n y los gobernantes lleven a cabo las acciones necesarias para frenar los efectos contaminantes de la desalaci\u00f3n, ya que a corto plazo abr\u00eda que realizar unas altas inversiones econ\u00f3micas cuyos beneficios se reflejar\u00edan en un largo plazo, y los agentes econ\u00f3micos est\u00e1n interesados en un plazo m\u00e1s corto de tiempo. Ciertamente tanto las empresas como los gobernantes como la poblaci\u00f3n valoran el estado del medio ambiente en un futuro, pero se preocupan m\u00e1s de sus objetivos a corto plazo. Los gobernantes quieren ser votados para seguir en el poder, las empresas quieren obtener beneficios y la poblaci\u00f3n quiere maximizar su utilidad que depende de diversos factores entre los que destaca el consumo de bienes y servicios. En este trabajo se analiza mediante teor\u00eda de juegos como interact\u00faan las empresas de desalaci\u00f3n, los gobernantes y la poblaci\u00f3n.\u00a0 <font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><strong><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font><\/strong><strong><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Abstract:<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Times New Roman\">\u00a0<\/font>The progress of the climatic change and the CO2 emissions are a global problem, whose solution depends on the firms, the governments and the population. The desalination is a process in which the power consumption is very elevated. This energy that is used has an environmental impact, that could be reduced of multiple ways. Nevertheless, the agents are intertemporary egoists, and it is very hard to take solutions in problems whose negative effects are experimented in the long term. Then is very difficult that the companies, the population and the governors carry out the actions necessary to restrain the polluting effects of the desalination, because in the short term they must to make high economic investments whose profits would be reflected in a long term, and the economic agents are interested in a shorter term of time. Certainly the companies, the governors and the population values the future environmental state, but\u00a0 they worry more about their objectives in the short term. The governors want to be voted to continue in the power, the companies want to obtain profits and the population wants to maximize its utility that depends on diverse factors between which it is very important the consumption of goods and services.
