{"id":21,"date":"2012-12-11T12:29:57","date_gmt":"2012-12-11T12:29:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ua.es\/xragua\/?page_id=21"},"modified":"2018-02-20T19:19:21","modified_gmt":"2018-02-20T18:19:21","slug":"outreach","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ua.es\/xragua\/outreach\/","title":{"rendered":"Outreach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate students at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eps.ua.es\/index.phtml?frontal=\">Polytechnic University College<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ua.es\/xragua\/team\">X-ray Astronomy Group<\/a> which belongs to the <a href=\"http:\/\/cvnet.cpd.ua.es\/GruposInvestigacion\/DatosGrupo.aspx?id=115210&amp;tipo=S\">Astronomy and Astrophysics research Group<\/a> has an Education and Public Outreach program that addresses astronomy and science education for the general public, families, and high school and undergraduates students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As an example of our outreach activities, we organised different talks for the general public, a program of which can be read <a href=\"http:\/\/web.ua.es\/en\/sedealicante\/program-activities\/2012-2013\/days\/12th-conference-on-dissemination-of-astronomy-second-part.html\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <strong><span style=\"color: #800080\">Astronomy research group offers<\/span><\/strong> an introductory <span style=\"color: #800080\"><a style=\"color: #800080\" href=\"http:\/\/web.ua.es\/en\/upua\/studies\/programs\/experimental-sciences\/science-experimental-90310-academic-year-2015-16.html\"><strong>astronomy seminar<\/strong><\/a><\/span> for <a title=\"UPUA\" href=\"http:\/\/web.ua.es\/en\/upua\/permanent-university-of-the-university-of-alicante.html\">adults above 50 years old<\/a> who are interested in <a href=\"http:\/\/web.ua.es\/en\/upua\/studies\/the-upua-academic-programme.html\">learning<\/a> about astronomy but do not need formal credit. The course is offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the University of Alicante. Registration is through the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.ua.es\/en\/upua\/information\/general-information.html\">Permanent University of the University of Alicante<\/a>.
